Meet Saroj and Akash

For years, Saroj worked under unsafe conditions at a local scrap dealer’s godown, just to provide for her family. Akash, inspired by the organization’s respect for its workers, encouraged Saroj to join. She took a leap of faith—and found herself in a space where she felt respected and valued. With protective gear, health checkups, and a steady income, Saroj’s life began to transform.

For the first time, she felt she could contribute to her family’s finances without sacrificing her well-being. Working alongside her son, Saroj couldn’t help but feel immense pride in both their journeys. Akash’s achievements were a testament to his hard work and dedication, and now, Saroj could see herself contributing meaningfully alongside him. “It’s amazing to see how far we’ve both come.”
